Tribute Gifts

Tribute gifts to the Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia are a beautiful way to honor or memorialize a loved one who cares or cared about helping local families living with cancer. Some typical types of tribute gifts are:

General Memorial Gifts

  • Given at a loved one’s passing, typically instead of flowers
  • Given on the anniversary of a loved one’s passing to remember them
  • Given on another important date to a departed loved one, such as a birthday or holiday, to remember them

General Honorarium Gifts

  • Given as a present to a loved one for their birthday instead of a physical gift
  • Given as a present to a loved one for a holiday (Christmas, Hanukkah, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, etc.) instead of a physical gift
  • Given to celebrate a loved one receiving good news on their cancer journey (“for Sarah as she finishes treatment!”)

Tribute Bricks

Tribute bricks are available for placement:

  • On the pathway to the Jean C. Holler Contemplation Garden (at our Ridgeland location in Fairmount Park)
  • Surrounding the Gilda’s Gazebo (at our Gilda’s Club location in Warminster) Click here to print the form.

Purchasing a brick in honor or memory of a loved one at either location gives them a visible, lasting association with the Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia and our work to help local families living with cancer. (Additionally, a beautiful, annual Evening of Remembrance is held around the bricks at each location.) Your brick donation will help provide free programs and services for men, women, and children living with cancer for their families.

How to Make a General Tribute Gift

General tribute gifts can be made online through our Donation Form. Simply choose the “in memory of” or “in honor of.”(option)
Selecting either option will cause additional boxes to appear so that you can tell us who should be informed about the gift:

  • For “in memory of” gifts, you might indicate a family member of the deceased, who will be informed that you have made a generous donation to Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia in memory of their loved one.
  • For “in honor of” gifts, you would indicate the person you’re honoring! He or she will be informed that you have made a generous gift to Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia in his or her honor.

You will, of course, also receive an acknowledgement letter and a tax receipt for the value of your gift at the address you provide in the form’s donor information section.

You may also choose to make a tribute gift via cash or check (made payable to “Cancer Support Community Greater Philadelphia”). Tribute gifts can be brought to any of our locations during normal business hours or mailed to our business office at 200 Kirk Road, Warminster, PA 18974. Please include a note indicating whether your gift in memory of a loved one or in honor of a loved one, as well as the names and mailing addresses of anyone who should be informed of your gift.
